- Since the 1980s, Chomolungma (aka Everest) Base Camp at 5,364 meters has sunk more than 220 feet. Despite this, the camp transforms into a vibrant, multicultural settlement of over 1,500 every spring. Through a blend of archival footage and contemporary scenes, accompanied by an intimate, humorous voice-over, this self-reflective film follows those who temporarily call it home: a buddhist monk, an expedition leader, a porter, an electrician, a tattoo artist, and a chef, among others.
